The Osteopathic Philosophy

Osteopathy is a principle-based manual therapy.
Osteopathic Manual Practitioners utilize various manual therapy techniques applied from an osteopathic perspective for a holistic treatment tailored to you.

This perspective follows 4 main principles:

  1. The body is a unit; the person is a unit of body, mind and spirit.

  2. The body is self-healing and self-regulating.

  3. Structure and function are interrelated.

  4. Rational treatment is based upon understanding and integration of the first 3 principles.

What does this mean?

Chloe utilizes her in-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and their structural and functional connections,
to relate your full body physical assessment to your symptoms.

Clients often seek treatment for specific “aches and pains” however, with treatments focused also on the nervous, arterial, venous, lymphatic, and organ systems, they find positive effects on other conditions:

including but not limited to…

  • headaches/migraines

  • sinus infections

  • TMJ dysfunction

  • acid reflux

  • anxiety

  • asthma

  • painful menstruation

  • IBS/other digestive issues

Each manipulation gathers what moves well, what does not, how your restrictions may be related, and how these restrictions may be affecting your body’s functioning as a whole.
